Fall Evolves on the Courts of DVTC

Beware of the “fall” effect on outdoor tennis. On the one hand, the heat of summer (hopefully) is past and the beauty of a sunny fall day with pleasant temperatures and little wind provides tennis JOY!

But alas, there are days where the wind whips across the courts, the sun is reluctant to shine, and maybe a little rain will fall, dimming the JOY of that beautiful fall day that provides the best of tennis.

Maybe adjustments need to occur in the time of day that we play, the decisions we make in even playing outdoors at all on not optimal weather days. There will inevitably be more days where the courts are not playable due to this much cooler, moister weather, when our courts don’t bounce back as they did in that hot summer sun.

Ahhhhhh, the JOY of outdoor tennis in the fall!
